Protect your investment
We touched on this in step 8 of the Buying process and it may be one of the most important. Buying a home is likely the single largest investment you will make during your lifetime. You absolutely must do everything you can to protect – and even grow – that investment. Maintenance Agreements are available from service providers to take care of your furnace and central air on an annual basis, your fireplace(s) needs to be cleaned and inspected regularly.
It is far less expensive to fix something up front than to let it go until it is a big problem.
Don’t be the bad neighbour on the block. Keep the exterior of your home, including the landscaping, driveway, sidewalks, fences, etc in good order. A coat of paint isn’t only aesthetic, it can also protect.
